You will work with talented people at a company that values the contributions of each team member.POSITION PURPOSEOrders materials for medical packaging manufacturing.  Ensures inventory levels meet production targets.  Regularly communicates with material vendors.  Produces accurate purchase orders and monitors delivery schedules.  Ensures invoices are correct.     Makes routine purchases of materials and services needed to operate the business efficiently, including MRO, tooling, etc. Creates orders and places them with vendors and follow-up. Approves or rejects prices, terms, delivery dates, traffic routes, etc., if not in keeping with purchasing policies and procedures. Analyzes market and delivery conditions to determine present and future material availability. Approves Invoices.  Matches invoices with purchase orders to ensure accuracy. Verifies order amounts and product specifications prior to placing orders. Monitors inventory levels on an on-going basis to ensure inventory meets production needs. Pursues the reduction of material costs.  Manages cost saving plans and monitors progress toward identified targets. Consistently monitors on-time delivery of materials from vendors.  Avoids production shut-downs.  Alerts Materials Manager when issues are anticipated which could negatively impact production. Backs up Supplier Quality Analyst in regards to processing Supplier Corrective Action Requests.
