Details: SUPPLY CHAIN SPECIALIST – CHRYSLERDynamic Manufacturing, Inc. – Automotive Drivetrain Components RemanufacturerDynamic Manufacturing, Inc. is a remanufacturer of transmissions, torque converters, transfer cases and other automotive drivetrain components based in Melrose Park, Illinois.  Over the course of its 50-year history, the company has achieved and maintained profitable growth by consistently providing efficient remanufacturing and timely delivery of complex, high reliability drivetrain components. Supply Chain Specialist  At present, this growth has led the company to seek to seek to hire a supply chain specialist.  The ideal candidate will bring a proven track record with a manufacturer serving as a tier one supplier to Chrysler.  This experience should include full responsibility for managing all supply chain activities in support of business with Chrysler.  It should also include substantial experience utilizing Chrysler proprietary supply chain-related systems, including but not limited to, SMART (Supplier Material Requirements Tracking System), SPIN (Supplier Partner Information Network), CSDS (Common Ship and Delivery System) and DRIVe (Delivery Rating Improvement Verification).  In addition, the position requires a self-starting, well organized and highly motivated individual who works well with minimal supervision, can effectively lead a high performing team in meeting the customer’s expectations and can build and maintain strong working relationships with key supplier and customer team members.   This individual will manage all supply chain activities for assigned Chrysler product lines.  These activities will include supplier sourcing, inventory management, production scheduling and finished goods shipping for all Chrysler product lines.   KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:  Sources direct supply base to support Chrysler business. Accountable for achieving all key supply chain performance metrics for the Chrysler business, including inventory turns, inventory value and on time delivery. Implements and manages parts replenishment programs to optimize inventory turns while supporting customer requirements. Initiates contingency planning with manufacturing management when inventory availability commitments are at risk. Builds and manages supplier relationships to ensure ongoing, timely availability of materials throughout the product lifecycle. Serves as primary customer point of contact for all order and material issues related to the Chrysler business. Analyzes, interprets and recommends changes to MRP requirements to minimize inventory carrying costs while ensuring timely availability of materials. Manages the efficient flow of orders through the production and shipping process. When necessary, adjusts schedule to minimize dramatic short-term changes in production volume. Produces, monitors and revises production schedules to ensure both efficient utilization of capacity and on-time delivery of finished goods. Prioritizes production requirements, monitors production output, compares progress to schedule and works with manufacturing management to resolve scheduling and capacity shortfalls. Serves as primary point of contact with customer supply chain management for assigned product lines. Communicates with customer supply chain management to meet priority demand, forecast revision and database management needs.   Revises production schedule in conformity with customer forecast changes and priority demands. Manages material planning and supplier scheduling. Reviews on-hand inventory against service level targets. Develops and refines demand projections based on planned orders, inventory levels and forecasting. Monitors usage, inventory levels, lead times and lot size and establishes re-order points. Serves as lead outbound logistics manager with primary responsibility for cost-effective, on-time shipment of finished goods. Monitors schedule and communicates with company production and shipping personnel, freight broker and customer contacts to schedule pickups and deliveries. Checks for orders once per week after hours via remote access.
