Details: SUMMARY: The primary responsibility of this position is to properly plan the supply chain processes in order to support both external and internal customers. The Logistics planner will be responsible for the entire supply chain starting with the ordering of raw material from the supplier and ending with shipping of finished product to the customer. Additional special supply chain projects may be assigned according to workload. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Responsible for the day to day communication to the logistics contacts at the customer. Review and monitor customer releases on a daily basis to ensure that data (EDI) was transferred and received. Based off the customer releases, plan the assigned assembly line production schedule. Attend and participate in assigned SQDC team. Review component inventory levels to ensure production plan can be met prior to the start of the production build. Responsible for cycle counting material and adjusting the (SAP) system to reflect actual status. Review material requirements to the supplier on a daily basis. Responsible for the day to day communication to the logistics contacts at the supplier. Support in other logistics areas as assigned by Manager.BACKUP DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Perform Shipping\Receiving functions, as required, to maintain adequate support levels during vacations, absenteeism etc. Ability to perform customer outbound shipments
