Details: Job Summary and MissionThis job contributes to Starbucks success by developing and executing store inventory replenishment strategies, suggested orders and allocation functions, systems, processes necessary to maintain appropriate in-store inventory levels to support attainment of sales and margin forecast. This job will identify ways for team improvement and lead efforts to optimize business processes. This job will model industry best practices in store replenishment planning which will result in having the right product in the right place at the right time. Models and acts in accordance with Starbucks guiding principles.Summary of Key ResponsibilitiesResponsibilities and essential job functions include, but are not limited to the following:• Initiates and manages ongoing store replenishment orders to balance store demand with business unit objectives, costand supply constraints.• Manages set-up and maintenance of the store replenishment system, including life cycle management. Identifiesoptimal replenishment method and parameters for portfolio of products heavily weighted towards advanced storereplenishment methodology.• Develops analysis-based approach to evaluate data to generate store groups and selling profiles to optimize storereplenishment parameters.• Collaborates with business partners and supply chain functional teams to execute strategies to enhance sales andmargin results through improved service levels.• Manages location level inventory strategies to support planned sales, forecasted demand and item exit strategies.• Develops and generates reports to monitor inventory assessment, proactively quantifies and communicates storeinventory concerns, leads effort in developing and gaining alignment as well as executing a recovery plan.• Contributes store knowledge and data to help identify gaps, risks and opportunities. Leads effort in formulatingrecommendations and contingency plans, communicates and aligns with internal business partners.• Collects business unit marketing data and incorporates it into appropriate system parameters to develop storeallocations, replenishment, and/or suggested orders.• Measures store performance, analyzes cause and effect, recommends and executes corrective actions and publishesresults.• Participates in the refinement and improvement of supply chain operational processes, systems and product to supportbusiness requirements.• Participates as subject matter expert for store replenishment planning on cross functional or global project teams.• Supports timely project completion and communicating action items and provides updates to the larger team.• May act as project lead to facilitate supply chain optimization projects.• Identifies and makes recommendation to improve suggested ordering results for stores resulting in improved businessresults.• Gains alignment of proposed solutions with appropriate business partners. Leads efforts to implement solutions.• Identifies gaps and recommends changes to parameter settings, businessprocesses or technology improvements.• Acts as subject matter expert with internal partners to implement process changes or system enhancements toimprove business results.• Establishes and maintains supportive relationships with business partners, supply chain cross functional teams andinternal team partners to ensure effective communication of strategic and tactical issues.• Acts as a communication lead to demand forecasting and supply planning regarding store behavioral trends anddemand/supply store concerns.• Mentors and trains partners on systems and processes.• Acts as team representative to customers or departments on cross-functional or enterprise projects• Responsible for all merchandise promotional planning, including developing recommendation for the inventory buys
