POSITION DESCRIPTION:Reporting to the Manager of Distribution, Transportation and Planning, the Project Manager is a critical leadership role responsible for executing strategic changes to the Supply Chain and Logistics network. This position is accountable for the successful management and orchestration of project implementation - taking projects from concepts designed by the Strategy Manager to final operating stages; ultimately handing ownership over to the operations leadership team.This role will define, plan and execute projects according to strict deadlines and budgets while coordinating input and tasks from broad functional areas in the company. GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE (but are not limited to): - Lead, guide and direct project development and execution from start to finish- Define project scope, goals and objectives in collaboration with Supply Chain and Logistics senior leadership team and company stakeholders- Develop formal project management plans, timelines, R&O material, and communication documents- Conduct post-mortems and implement best practices for continuous improvement in project management and execution- Identify contingency operating plans - Act as liaison between third party vendors, corporate real estate, SC&L leadership, finance and company stakeholders- Define requirements and manage start up teams and project resources- Delegate tasks and responsibilities within the project team- Identify and resolve obstacles- Manage change during project lifecycle (scope, functionality, etc.) - Define success criteria and measure project performance against predetermined metrics- Build and cultivate relationships with external vendors and internal resources for the success of existing and future projects
