We are looking for Shipping and Receiving Clerkswith Distribution experience to place with a number of our client companies. You will work in both Distribution warehouse and industrial warehouse environments, and must be flexible with your hours depending upon the project to which you are assigned. This position requires that you have at least 2 yrs or more experience. Shipping and Receiving Clerk – Distribution, Industrial, Material Handler, Inventory and Forklift. Job ResponsibilitiesAs a Shipping and Receiving Clerk, you will handle incoming and outgoing shipments for a warehouse or logistics company. You will also oversee and coordinate the moving of pallets and other products and materials by forklift operators and other material handlers. Your specific duties will include:  Examining incoming and outgoing shipment contents and comparing with records, (such as manifests, invoices or orders) to verify accuracy Preparing documents, such as work orders, bills of lading and shipping orders to route materials Determining shipping methods for materials using knowledge of shipping procedures, routes and rates Recording shipment data, such as weight, charges, space availability and damages and discrepancies for purposes of reporting, accounting and record keeping Contacting carrier representative to make arrangements and to issue instructions for the shipping and delivery of materials Conferring and corresponding with establishment representatives to rectify problems, such as damages, shortages and nonconformance to specifications Pulling orders from warehouse racks using a log and possibly an RF scanner gun Staging and palletizing product in warehouse Performing light Quality Control to ensure that products are going to the correct areas Performing general cleanup and maintenance of your work area
